Dear CCHF Family,
As promised in our most recent email, we are sharing the plans for Steve Noblett’s Memorial Service.
Some of you may know that Steve’s oldest daughter, Angela Strange, serves on our CCHF staff. Angela has graciously shared a glimpse into her father’s final hours—a sacred moment that reflects the faith and peace Steve carried with him throughout his life.
“In his final days, my parents’ home was filled with an overwhelming sense of God’s peace. Surrounded by our family, worship, and prayer, Dad’s transition felt sacred—more like worship than farewell. As he took his last breath, my Mom held him while praying in his ear, my sister and I held his hands, and one of his favorite songs about communion played in the background. It was a moment that could only be described as holy.
Earlier that week, one of Dad’s dearest friends and church elders led our family in communion. We sang ‘Good, Good Father,’ thanked God for his life, and felt the presence of the Lord so near. Dad told his doctor that he was ‘walking in a beautiful forest with Jesus,’ and that we kept waking him up. That’s the kind of peace he carried with him to the end—a peace that reflected the Kingdom he spent his life proclaiming.
Psalm 116:15 says, ‘Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His faithful servants.’ My dad lived—and died—faithful. His legacy of love, justice, and Kingdom hope lives on in this community. He loved you all so very much.”
