Happy Sunday,

I hope you all are having a great weekend!

Last week, Idorenyin led us on a great talk about ‘Being in a Relationship with God & Accepting his Invitation’. Together we learned:

  *
It's clear God really, truly desires a relationship with us, to talk to us and offer us support and guidance. Given that He is the source of our ENTIRE lives (Acts 17:28), maintaining this relationship is arguably the most important one of our lives.
  *
This relationship can also be uniquely challenging too, as God isn't physical. While it is true most of us can't speak to God face-to-face like Moses did, we can maintain a relationship with God through prayer, reading his word and worship. As simple as these tasks may seem, they're foundational.
  *
Additionally, HOW one does these things matters more than simply doing these things more. For example, A prayer from your soul means more than a flowery, absent-minded one. Exclaiming praise to God when you remember what he's done means more than saying 'praise God' every 10 minutes.
  *
While when we think of worship we often think of singing God's praise, at it's core, Worship can simply be a lifestyle, a way of being. It means doing EVERYTHING aware, mindful and appreciative of God who made it possible (Romans 12:1; 1 Cor 10:31, Col 3:17)

Tomorrow, starting promptly at 6:30PM, I will be leading a discussion on The Call of Samuel. [it might be nice to come having read the first 3 chapters of 1 Samuel. No worries if you can't tho. We'll catch you up! :)].

Snacks will be provided tomorrow. And as always, stop by to deepen your walk with God and, of course, fellowship!

We look forward to seeing you there!
