Being in a Relationship w/ God - URMCCF 09/22

Hello everyone,

I hope you all had a great weekend!

Last week, Sidd led us through an amazing discussion on 'Becoming a servant of God'. Together we learned:

  *
As God's servants we don't work FOR Him. God works THROUGH us. This is different from the way we typically think of 'servanthood'
  *
Just as Mary bore Christ, as servants of God's kingdom, we are bearing his fruit -- fruit that we may not fully understand yet ourselves. We are only able to bear these great fruit because of the Spirit dwelling in us. He's the vine, we're the branches.
  *
God decides the season that our fruit will come out. God's relationship with us is not about us giving him fruit, it's about staying attached to him so he can display HIS fruit to the world, through us. So even in a dry season, stay attached. It's always been HIS fruit we're expressing, not ours.

Tomorrow, starting promptly at 6:30PM, ​Idorenyin will be teaching us on Being in a relationship with God & accepting  his invitation.  Snacks will be provided. As always, stop by to chat about God and strengthen your walk with him!
