Joy & Love (Advent Series) 12/15

Hi Everyone,

Last week, Idorenyin led us on a discussion on the meaning of "Hope and Peace" during this Christmas season. Together we learned:

  *
Advent season is a time of celebration and reflection: celebrating the birth of Jesus, reflecting on who He is, what He has done, and awaiting His return.
  *
There's a difference between the hope that is talked about in the world and biblical hope. Biblical hope is full confidence, rooted in Christ with a sure expectation.
  *
The Hebrew word for peace is "Shalom" which means "whole, completeness".
  *
Sin separated us from God, but through the blood of Jesus, we have peace with God and have been reconciled to Him. (Romans 5:1, Colossians 1:19-23)

Today, starting promptly at 6:30PM, ​Sidd will be leading us on the last parts of the Advent series centered on ​the meanings of "Joy and Love".
