Greetings all!
We hope you all had restful spring breaks and a not-too-stressful week back to school. We realize it's been while since our last shindig, but we have a whole smorgasbord of events coming up in the next several weeks! Mark these days on your calender…
1. Fellowship Lunch THIS Thursday (3/29)!
Where: Au Bon Pain (bright yellow hallway, next to the computer store and copy center)
When: Thursday, 12-1pmAs suggested by you, we'll be having our first casual lunchtime fellowship. This is one of those rare weeks when 2nd years don't have to rush off to preceptor, so we can actually meet for lunch! First years, we know you have a test next Monday, but hey, ya gotta eat! Feel free to bring your lunch too as we grab a table in this newest addition to the med center cuisine.
2. Pre-Easter Brunch!
When: Saturday, April 7
Where: Location TBA, open to suggestions! More details to come next week.
Please RSVPAs the title implies, we'll be brunching the day before Easter to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ! So feel free to make plans with your family/friends for Easter Sunday, and we hope you can join us for the pre-celebration. If you want to attend church on Easter but are not sure where to go, we'll be more than happy to provide a ride for you. Contact Tiffany_Chi@urmc.rochester.edu or David_Paul@urmc.rochester.edu and we'll get you where you need to go.
3. Student-Physician Spring Dinner – Sunday, April 15
Time: 6pm
Where: Location TBA. More details to come.
Please RSVPInstead of the usual Spring Physician Breakfast held in April, Dr. Morehouse and his wife are organizing a special dinner for students and Christian physicians from the greater Rochester community. We'll also be honoring the graduating 4th years. If you enjoyed the Missions Breakfast back in February, then you'll definitely want to be a part of this! Keep an eye out for emails from Dr. Morehouse in the coming weeks.
4. CMDA National Convention – April 26-29
Who: Med students and residents from around the country
Where: Ridgecrest Conference Center – Asheville, North CarolinaAs per Dr. Morehouse's previous email (included below), the Christian Medical and Dental Association (CMDA) is having its largest student convention ever starting on Thursday, April 26. Please let us know if you're interested in attending–and don't forget to register. All the details are below for your convenience. 🙂
We hope to see you many times in the next month! God bless!

I want to personally invite you to join me and hundreds of Christian students and doctors at this year’s CMDA National Convention in Asheville, NC! We will gather for this incredible time of fellowship, learning, and growing together on April 26-29, 2012 at the beautiful Ridgecrest Conference Center.
This year will feature the largest Student and Resident Event in the history of CMDA! In addition to the robust schedule of encouraging, challenging, and stimulating sessions, there will be all kinds of student and resident focused events, including:
» The 2nd Annual Meeting of the National Student Council
» The LifeSkills Institute…Live!
» Worship Around the Bonfire…complete with marshmallow roast!
» Ultimate Frisbee Competition
» And much more…The connections you develop with other students and residents who follow Jesus Christ at this conference…will become colleagues and friends, often for the rest of your life! I have personally experienced (and continue to hear from other students and docs) how impacting this time is as you develop as a Christian doctor…rubbing shoulders with those who have committed to make their practice their ministry.
The world class speakers at our plenary sessions…the special events designed to encourage your growth as a Christian student or resident…and the relationships that develop…just a few reasons to make the investment of time, energy, and finances to join us at this year’s CMDA National Convention!
You can learn more and register online here.
Please let us know if you have any questions … and I hope to see you there!
With you on your journey,
